ELLANSÉ is a non-animal and non-bacterial dermal filler product. It sits in its own category as it acts as a dermal filler and bio-stimulator. ELLANSÉ comprises two main components; PolyCaproLactone (PCL) microspheres and a Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) gel. The PCL microspheres trigger your body’s natural collagen production, while the CMC element provides immediate volume. The fact that it is bio-resorbable means that the body will absorb it over time.

PCL is classed as a biodegradable polymer. It has been used worldwide for many years for various applications in the body, such as medical sutures and orthopaedic implants. CMC has had various medical uses since the mid-1900s.
It is now used in eye drops, wound dressing, and oral products, among other applications.

Are there any side effects?
Because both ingredients are bio-compatible, side effects such as reactions are rare. As is common with injectable treatments, there are risks; however, these are uncommon. Possible side effects include mild swelling at the injection site, redness, and tenderness. Any side effects should subside over the coming days following the treatment.
