What is iPixel Laser Skin Resurfacing?

iPixel Laser Skin Resurfacing is a cutting-edge treatment that revolutionises skin rejuvenation. Utilising the advanced Harmony XL Pro system, this non-ablative, fractional laser therapy targets minute sections of the skin with precision. The iPixel laser creates microscopic zones of energy, selectively removing the outermost layers of the skin while leaving surrounding tissues intact. This process reduces the appearance of scars, hyperpigmentation, and stretch marks and stimulates the natural production of collagen. The result is a smoother, more even skin texture and tone, effectively addressing concerns like ageing skin and sun damage.

Benefits of iPixel

Compared to older resurfacing laser technologies, iPixel is part of the new generation of non-ablative, fractional lasers that give superior results with less downtime. Helps scarring caused by acne and trauma. Older resurfacing treatments targeted the entire skin, but now with Pixel we can target smaller areas of the skin, by delivering microscopic zones of energy to the skin.  This means faster healing and less downtime.

What to Expect During iPixel Laser Treatment

During an iPixel Laser Treatment at Derma Revive, you can expect a thorough and professional experience. The procedure typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treated areas. As the iPixel laser works, you’ll feel targeted bursts of energy that precisely address skin irregularities. This fractional laser technology ensures minimal discomfort while maximising results. Post-treatment, your skin may appear red and feel similar to a sunburn, but these effects typically subside within 24 hours. Our team will provide comprehensive aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth and effective healing process.

Is iPixel Laser Painful?

The iPixel Laser treatment at Derma Revive is designed with patient comfort in mind. Most clients report minimal discomfort during the procedure, likening it to a mild prickling sensation. The advanced technology of the Harmony XL Pro ensures that the treatment is virtually pain-free. Any mild discomfort experienced can be easily managed with cooling packs and our expert aftercare guidance. The safety profile of the iPixel laser minimises risks of side effects, making it a tolerable and highly preferred option for skin resurfacing.

The Harmony XL Pro uses a Pixel-Q Switched laser to split up light energy into numerous parts to target the skin cells at a deep layer in the dermis. Though you won’t be able to see anything underneath the skin, the process will trigger the skin deep down to produce more collagen. More collagen means skin is lifted and tightened and thus the appearance of fine lines is reduced.

How iPixel works?

The Harmony XL Pro uses a Pixel-Q Switched laser to split up light energy into numerous parts to target the skin cells at a deep layer in the dermis. Though you won’t be able to see anything underneath the skin, the process will trigger the skin deep down to produce more collagen. More collagen means skin is lifted and tightened and thus the appearance of fine lines is reduced.

The technology is designed to create tiny holes over the concerned skin area removing the top layer.  The surrounding cells of the skin stay intact, meaning faster healing for the patient, and stimulation of collagen production to smoothen and tighten the skin.

The Harmony XL Pro can help treat problematic areas of the face, neck, décolletage and hands to give an all-over rejuvenation, leaving a smoother, plumper finish. If you are looking to diminish the appearance of fine lines around your eyes, mouth, forehead, and upper cheeks, whilst at the same time boosting your self-confidence, then this treatment could be ideal for you.

Why Choose iPixel Laser Treatment?

iPixel Laser Treatment stands up as a revolutionary skin resurfacing treatment that harnesses the potential of fractional ablative lasers. This state-of-the-art technology is designed to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne scars, fine lines, and sun damage, delivering impressive results with minimal downtime. As a trusted solution in the field of aesthetic treatments, iPixel Laser Treatment offers a non-invasive approach to skin revitalisation, ensuring a safer, more comfortable experience for patients.

iPixel Laser Treatment Process

The iPixel Laser Treatment process is a carefully orchestrated journey that prioritises your skin’s health and well-being.

Initial Consultation

Every treatment begins with an initial consultation. This is where our skilled clinicians assess your skin condition, understand your skin goals, and determine if iPixel Laser Treatment is the best solution for you. This comprehensive session allows us to create a personalised treatment plan that aligns with your unique needs and expectations. It also gives us a chance to look if other treatments we offer might be better for your specific issue.

The Treatment Session

During the treatment session, the iPixel device is moved across the skin, emitting pixel-sized laser beams that penetrate the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, promoting collagen production and skin regeneration. The result? A more youthful, rejuvenated complexion.

Aftercare

Post-treatment care is vital to maximise the results of your iPixel Laser Treatment. Our team will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions, including the use of specific skincare products to aid in healing and maintain the results. The avoidance of sun/sunbed exposure will be mentioned, and so will a recommended skincare regimen to prevent any complications and ensure optimal outcomes.

How Long Does an iPixel Laser Treatment Session Last?

The length of an iPixel Laser Treatment session tends to vary based on the area being treated. Typically, a session can last between 30 minutes to an hour. We encourage patients to allow extra time for the initial consultation and any preparation needed before the treatment.

Is iPixel Laser Treatment Painful?

The comfort level of iPixel Laser Treatment can vary from person to person. Some may experience a sensation akin to a mild sunburn, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated. We utilise topical numbing creams to minimise discomfort, and our team is dedicated to ensuring your comfort throughout the procedure.

Is iPixel Laser Treatment Suitable for All Skin Types?

iPixel Laser Treatment is adaptable and suitable for a wide range of skin types. However, the effectiveness and suitability of the treatment can be influenced by individual skin conditions and concerns. It is, therefore, essential to discuss your skin goals and history during the initial consultation to ascertain the best treatment protocol for your skin type.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does iPixel laser treatment work?

iPixel directs a short, powerful burst of laser energy to the surface of the skin. This heats the surface water, turning both the water and the skin tissue into steam.

Each time it passes through the laser, a small area (or “pixel”) of the outermost layer of the skin is precisely controlled and removed. The surrounding skin tissue is unaffected and remains intact.

This process uses the body’s natural healing process to stimulate collagen growth and replace lost skin with new, healthy and smooth skin tissue.

Because the iPixel can be targeted so precisely, it has fewer side effects than ablative resurfacing lasers. This makes it suitable for treating skin on the face, neck, chest and hands with minimal irritation.
Each treatment session usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.

How many treatments do you recommend with Ipixel?

We usually recommend a programme of 3 to 5 treatments, at intervals of 4 weeks, but this may vary according to your skin condition.

What is the downtime period after the treatment?

There is little to no downtime after the iPixel treatment. You may experience some swelling and skin flaking over 2-3 days after your treatment, but this is unlikely to have an effect on day-to-day activities. Our skin experts are on hand to help you with a full aftercare guide and advice.

Does iPixel Hurt?

The treatment is usually administered with minimal pain and discomfort. Your skin will mimic the sunburn feeling, with a warm to touch sensation, redness and possible sensitivity that will subside.

During your consultation, we will discuss the sessions you will need and any issues or concerns about the procedure.
